Is Bose 535 Series II worth the price from USA?

All ,

I know , i may be asking a wrong question to some of my audio phile friends. But trying to understand is bose not the worth the price in india or is it not at all worth :-|. I am planning to set up a home theater and i see that bose price with international warranty in US is almost half of what is in india.
Please share and advice .

I did go to demo place and i found it to be reasonable sound to my ears but would love to hear from my other friends on the forum

quality of the drivers are not worth for money
original reproduction is not getting

Hi Sunil,

I agree with sjith. Not worth your money even if there are hefty discounts. The quality of components are not that great.

Unless you have heard it out and you are completely impressed with it ( When compared to similar priced items), i would suggest a No go.

Nothing like a Bose hater this side. Just a word of caution from a person who owns Bose speakers and headphones.

Bose costs almost double in India due to taxes landing costs etc. Getting it from abroad would imply weight and possible custom charges etc etc. Secondly the service centres in India charge a hefty amount to open it.

If you are inclined to owning cube satellite speakers, there are so many brands available in India like Boston Acoustics, which is VFM, there is SPACE audio, Telome (who also copied the Jewel Cubes perfectly...they work awesome). which can be connected to any AVR of your choice.

The key for you is to audition as many systems available with dealers around your area and am sure your views could possibly change. I did own BOSE briefly for 6 years then got rid of it.

Bose was good in their speakers till 1990. After that to be honest, nothing sounds the way it used to.

I said Bose 535 Series II , i india it is 314000 approx . I am getting in USA for 2800 USD .
2800*62=173600
which is almost half of the price in india and BTW where did i mention Bose AM 10 .

As far as I know, Bose international warranty = Not valid in India but for all other countries. It may be worth checking the warranty detail before you make a decision
