is the 3d effects that good as in theatres ?

help me decide..

buy a projector with 1 lakh rupee.that experience will beat any tv any day...
anyway about 3d you demo in showroom and check.
and 55 led is not normal.....I mean all 55 inchers are 3d....they have put it into already.

if anyway a tv is preffered over projector go for ST/GT series from panasonic or HX 850 from sony...

best picture undoubedetly......

Nope.. '46 3d led only @ 53k.. a friend of mine from canada is buying it for me.. that's why i'm confused abt 55 inch LED & 46 inch 3D LED.. @ same price..

55 inch and 46 inch both same price..........@53k??
how is this possible?
wow great offer. then always go for the bigger one.
he will bring the item...in that case also bringing a projector is much easier and hassle free than a huge tv..
and projectors are half priced in usa.....than india...so if spending 53k....can try it.that means a projector costing 1 lakh in india can be had by 53k...in usa
and which model are you getting at 53k....

Didn't think of any projector.. also my room size is more than enough for an led..

yeah..probably hx850 '46 as of now..

Get the Sony HX850 LED TV, projector is not practical for day to day usage in living room, bedroom etc, so avoid projectors.

When a person comes seeking advice for a TV for regular usage for the entire family, how the hell can you recommend that bloke a projector? A TV is more often than not used by the entire family including kids and people need to hold their horses before recommending a projector to somebody. Unless you already have a TV for regular purpose and have the space and patience to run a projector, unless you are only going to use it only for movie watching in a dark room, how the hell can anybody recommend a projector as an alternative to a regular TV? The said bloke would be spending over a lakh rupees of hard earned money and he need to be made aware of what projector can or cannot do, the requisites for running a projector, the ease of use etc.

Not at all thinking abt a projector.. the choice is btw 3d led & normal led..
can someone explain the 3d effects on a HX850 '46.. ?

Wow that's a benchmark TV you are asking recommendation for. Just go through the other post regarding HX850. You will get to know how good is this TV. The only problem with Active shutter 3D are the glasses which are costly. But if you can afford them (like 6 for the whole family) I think its better option about viewing 3D then passive. Others may defy this.

Yeah, it was an absolutely ridiculous suggestion, suggesting projector to a person looking for TV is 100% malicious thinking.

55HX850... out of the world... one of the best TV money can buy... if u can afford (just under 2 lacs in India)

Look even I don't believe in 3D hype but the fact is that all the latest LED's or Plasma's are in fact 3D-enabled. Obviously you won't get a theatre like feel if the balance between TV size and sound as per the room setup is not appropriate. So before buying, just decide the amount of content you'll be viewing on a 3D TV before narrowing down your choices.

That is correct. If you are looking for high-end TVs, all are 3D enabled. There is no option. At least I have not seen any 55" LED that is non-3D. So the question is hypothetical at best.

As regards to the theatre like effect, then no amount of TV size is going to bring that. Only a projector can bring some effect and that too when coupled with a high fidelity surround sound system. But for 3D, the larger the TV, the better it will be.

I think that you should not focus on 3D; rather focus on 2D and pic quality as 2D is what you will be watching 95% of the time.

What people tend to overlook is that '3D' is only one 'feature' of a Smart LCD/LED TV. To use it depends entirely on your mood and preference. There are lots of other good features to the product, in this case the LG 3D TV. And that the 3D LCD TV comes with a magic motion remote is a extra plus to makes it even more worthwhile I think.
