Can't see the video at the moment. But I can guess which LP you're talking about. I'd seen the video few weeks. My friend bought it from Jack white himself at the venue though according to him the quailty of the LP isn't great. But it was quite an achievement to press the music on vinyl so quickly n make it available for sale!
I think this is fantastic. Its not about the quality of the pressing or the music it contains. Its the publicity vinyl is getting as a medium. Vinyl is well and truly on the way back with so many people aspiring to buy turntables and start a record collection. I remember, a few years ago, one could hardly find a turntable for sale anywhere online in India. These days, go online and you'll find a ton up for sale. Vinyl days are here again!!
A good fun with vinyl technology. Nice job. Real appreciative factor is the format is still trying to stay alive. Such funny experiments will at least tempt the younger generation to give the vinyl format a try.
Even though similar experiments were tried before[LSD by pink], this record seems to be very unique with what lies beneath the black surface and what not "the label" too. May become a collectors item in future.
