JICO Stylus

Hi all,

Today I received JICO stylus for my Shure M55e cartridge.I have purchased it from JICO direct in $35 including shipping.It came in a very good packing.Excellent customer care.Perfect fit into cartridge.I received it in 7 days from Japan.The stylus is sounding very nice and getting smoother.The first thing I noticed was volume.I had to turn down my amp's volume.The voice clarity is very good back with much smoother bass and treble.It is definitely better than original.I highly recommend JICO stylus for forum members.

Note: the stylus in the box is my older shure.

Hi,

Classic 700 is an Indian made cartridge.You will not find stylus for this cartridge even I have this with half worn stylus.Classic 700 sounds very average.It has a output less than 2 mv which is very low for any mm standard.You should buy another cartridge if your player is in good condition rather than finding stylus for this cartridge.

+1 sachu. an audio technica at91 wud b a sensible upgrade for pksnathan.. and is readily available in chennai. they guy ships in other indian cities. his number is on another thread in forum.
by the way sachin... after replacing the shure, did u realign/set the cartridge etc?? coz improvement in sound may be due to change in vta/downforce etc too.

The cartridge was already aligned I just replaced the stylus.

Hi Sachin, is it the stylus of 0.2X0.7 or 0.3X0.7? I have orderd M55e stylus of Ed Saunders for my M44-7 cartridge. Will it good? What would be the correct tracking force for M44-7 cart-M55e stylus cmbination in the Pioneer PL-518 TT? Thank you.

Jico never mention specification for their styli, by look it seems 0.2X0.7
Ed Saunder's styli are not same as before as he has retired from business. Now Trisha Horn takes care of the business and reviews are not positive. Its hit and miss now a days. Some people say they buy their styli from ebay and sell it with Ed Saunder brand. Jico on the other hand are always consistent with quality, and reasonable priced considering very good quality.
1.5 tracking force is good enough for most of the carts including M44/M55e combo.
