I own a LG 32ld460 lcd tv (full hd).

When running a video file through USB, after about 30 mins audio goes out by 2-3 seconds, if file is longer the audio gradually goes further out of sync.
I have seen this problem with multiple files and using the same file on computer or on TV with file being played with separate media player gives no problem.

What can be the problem, anyone else using the same tv (or may be even different) facing the same problem? Thanks

The media player inbuilt in these TVs is more of a gimmick. Initially the main purpose of incorporating a USB slot was so that hi-def pictures could be conveniently viewed on a TV. Which is why some Panasonic TVs still come with an in-built SD card slot only.
So even though the in-built media player is a very convenient thing, don't expect it to do heavy duty as a dedicated media player.

I understand that one should not expect too much from these in-built media players, but sound sync issues destroys the whole purpose of providing them in the first place! Imagine you have a movie in the most common but you still cannot watch it because after half an hour the sound goes totally out of sync and you just cannot do anything about it?

Will complaining to LG can provide any solution?

OKIE.. A FUNNY but trick that works.. whenever audio goes out of sync... press the rewind button when the movie is playing and press play just after 2-3 seconds
and it will be all good...

trust me it works.. i have played many movies like this on many diff systems. most of the times it works.. however no permanent fix as we do not have much options while using the tv players to play movie..

try it.. m sure it will solve the problem..

Yes, i have tried it few times, while sometimes it corrects the issue but sometimes it doesn't. Anyways, as you would also agree, it is so frustrating when you need to rewind/forward the movie after every half an hour or so just to get the sync right.
It irritates when you have spend so much money on things like these but they don't work as expected

But i guess i don't have much option here. Although i would love to hear if someone was able to get the issue solved permanently, may be thru the manufacturer.

i know its true.. thats the reason i am runnin on an xtreamer.. usb port is just a gimmick and to make those people drool who buy the their first tv and the seller shows that u dont need to buy a dvd player and fisgt few days we keep happy and then we realise the reality..

Quite right..

Actually i was (or rather, am) pretty happy with the number of video formats supported by the TV, its slightly better than my iomega TVLink Director so was thinking to phase it out.
But now after realizing this problem, i better retain it n use inbuilt USB feature occasionally.
