It's decent but 40HX750 has better PQ.

There is a newer model out there LM 6410 it has got Wifi other than that same features but a little more pricey by 2-3k depending on the dealer, i myself ordered one and waiting :yahoo:

I was checking it and my observation is 6400 was a bit dim than 6200 and even 6700 was appearing dimer than 6200 ? Black and whites were better on 6200 compared to 6400 & 6700 ..Any body having similar observation?

I'm planning to buy LG 42LM6410 from either Dubai or Bangkok... please advice from where should I buy better quality product... also my purpose of tv is for watching movies(2d) and 3d as well as playing computer games. The tv will b connected to my pc... is this the right choice in right budget.. if not pls suggest...

CNET has given a score of 2.5
for lm6700.
I have never seen such a poor score for any TV.
Either these guys have some grudge against LG or the model is the worst.
If the later is true, it is a shame that LG can produce such a low grade product.It would discourage anyone buying any thing of lm6..series.

Buying a tv based on reviews is a foolishness...believe your eyes...
The problem is that eyes can trick you sometimes.
The heart rules over eyes....a free bd player...a free memory stick..:licklips:
I believe user reviews are more useful than expert reviews. People who already spent money with some expectations can put more light on practical approach for its merits and demerits.
Ultimately you are your own judge. Only expert of your likings

There are pros and cons of every product and every brand.... Do the proper trade off using all the available information around, internet and reviews are one such media, but, it is ultimately u, wno knows and can decide what you want and not someone else....
Individually LM6400 is a decent model in terms of price and features, but if you are in the final phase of your purchase then I would suggest to look at LM6410 instead; since this model has got the inbuilt wifi option whereas LM6400 is wifi ready else the other specs are same. Or for secondary option Im asking you do you have any pre-decided budget range for this purchase? If yes, then let us know so that we can share some more good options with you.
What all parameters had you opted while reviewing these couple of LG LM series models? Did you review them in store or somewhere else? Because I have a doubt on what you said for LM6700 so Id love to hear about your parameters you followed.
I dont agree here, though its a fact that you should not completely rely on online reviews because many times theyre helpless but not always. Market reviews are indeed helpful and worth discussing before any big purchase. There are many trusted sites which always posts hands-on reviews such as tech2, techtree, Engadget and Mashable etc. So you can always trust on reviews posted on trusted and well sounded online channels.
The model you selected is a decent one in class for its price and 3d capabilities. I have seen this model many times and even compared it with other models. So my recommendation is positive for LM6400.
As far as your purchase location is concerned Id say before you fix your purchase do not forget to check out the custom charges for purchasing this TV from abroad.

I revirewed all these models in the same stores... fortunately.i had all these models almost side by side. sony750, lm6200 and lm6700 ..6410 was kept on another wall and I always felt that for the same settimg which was vivid, 6410 was a bit dimmer. Evem picture was becoming dimmer when I move to left and right... I asked to take the tv off from that wall to a location next to 6200 and 6700, and I had similar observations... I specifically felt 6200 had better whites and blacks... 6700 was comparable... 7600 was the best in terms of colours and motion handling... But was ouy of reach... This is what I felt.. So asked , if anyone had similar observations...

LG 42LM6400 LED Tv Watch 3D in either more comfort or thrill. complete 3D TV is with 3D sounds effect. LG's Dual Play function takes gaming to the new level of excitement. Whereas conventional TV relied on split screen or separate TVs with multilayer games.

I have seen many user reviews of 42LM6400 on various sites. I never found any noticeable issue with any feature of this TV. If cnet gives negative reviews to any product I don't think it affects its sale as consumer just buy on their personal experience. So go for it if you are willing to buy a decent sized 3d tv with greater specifications.

Your choice is nice but still i would suggest you to check out some more models of lg tv like lm 3410 which is available in 42 inch size as well. For better judgement you can check out the pros and cons of the model at your nearest retailer shop. At the end i can only say that there are lots of smart tv sets available in the market that allow normal users to browse and perform other functions but still its all up to the customer that what kind of requirement they have.

From my point of view the product is quite impressive especially the home dashboard that makes use of smart features that is more convenient for all. Lg home dashboard is the simplest, easiest and most customizable user interface and apart from home dashboard this lg model is also popular for competitive PQ as far as LED TVs are concerned. Magic motion remote works like a charm as well!
Guys what is the weight og lg42lm6410 after packing. Actually I'm telling one of my friends to get from Dubai so ticket weight allowance is 20kgs...
Pls tell me weight of tv after box packing .. also how much can the customs be settled for in Mumbai??
