After long research whether to go for media player or blu ray player and which one to go for etc., I finally decided and got delivered LG BP440 blu ray player through online.
I am yet to play a blu ray disc to test its basic function (can't test 3d as i don't have a 3D tv), I tested with few audio/dvd/ usb movies. It's OK and did what it should do. I also did a firmware update and it did in few minutes.
Though the purchase was made online (snapdeal), the packing were all intact and i didn't find any scratches or damage anywhere. It came with HDMI cable as well :yahoo:
Now the cons:
1) It doesn't move to one folder to another automatically nor I can change the folder through remote (is it the same with other blu-ray players, especially pioneer's). I can do both only by switching my TV on.
2) The subtitles size cannot be increased or decreased. I also do not like the font it displays. Compared to this, I like the font which my LG LED TV displays.
3) I played one FLAC file. It was playing, but it was playing with a different tune. I mean, the sound output is different from what I could hear from my PC. I have to check with some other FLAC file incase if this FLAC was in different bitrate than what this player could support.
4) No WIFI. can't complain in this price range. But you can do online stuff by connecting the network cable.
I will be doing more testing in coming days. So far i am still satisfied as i got it for around Rs.5000 :indifferent14:
