Lg cinema 3d "lcd"

DIVASMMM are u going with this or the 51d550? well being an LCD, IPS,100hz,2ms, and cinema 3D , my mind too is wavering.. even at 60k i feel it's worth..you know ,though we all know plasmas are good..LCDs are tension free ones. And 47 is a good size ~ 50 inch.Wat say?

How was your demo experience? i mean the picture quality - HD/SD ,the appearance of the set, was there any lack of brightness at the border areas of the screen considering it as a 47 in LCD ?

I did not find much difference between the Cinema 3D LED and this one except the bright flash light like brightness on the LEDs. Though not as cool as a plasma, the brightness is enjoyable. Demo was with Star Plus HD and it was good. The 3d depth with 2d-3d conversion is almost same like what i've found on Active shutter systems. If you want passive 3d at VFM price, this will easily beat the LG LED, only difference being the smart TV functionality which is not available in this model. If anyone don't want to buy a plasma, this is a better choice.

I had bought Sammy 51D550 this saturday and it was installed on sunday. The Picture Quality is excellent (after a lot of research and personal experience I had ended up zeroing on this one!).the primary reason being the 3D experience which I wanted to have.....nothing less than 50" will satisfy the 3D visual experience. And the price too was my main criteria.

Companies are pushing only LEDs these days, thats why they tell this.....2011 Plasmas are hard to get affected by burn in....just run the first 100 hrs carefully and thats it.....As far as power consumption is concerned.....I do not watch TV for 6hrs continuously everyday...it is just 2-3 hrs max. So this is not an issue for me, as buying a big TV varies with individuals and their needs......
Believe me..the showroom guys do not even know the specs of a model.....they just know the basic info......Even when I visited many showrooms, the sales guys tried to convince me to go for LED......at a point of time I was even thinking of LG LED LW5700 but quickly restored my mental tranquility....+1 to their communication skills!

51D550 may run out of stock soon......this is the case in HYD..I had to wait a month to get this piece for the price I desired.
