We managed the following quotes till now
Just finished my booking of the 65G1 yesterday, and I believe 2 other folks who were part of the group have purchased (and already received) the 55C1. Delivery time is 2-3 weeks (I have resigned myself to 1 month).
Some of the group is still waiting for better deals to come up in the following weeks, we will keep the group posted.
- 65G1 - Rs 2,01,000 (2,15,000 - 14,000CB)
- 65C1 - Rs 1,85,000 (1,98,000 - 13,000CB)
- 55C1 - Rs 1,18,500 (1,30,000 - 11,500 CB)
- 6M no cost EMI (some 9K deducted from the above principal amount for NCEMI)
- 3 Year Warranty
- 1 Year Insurance (was only available in this store)
- No other offers/freebies etc. The price includes the 2K LG discount for IPL

There were a few folks who were looking at the A1 as a secondary television. You can join in the group and discuss further. Will DM you as well.
Some of us did manage to get the TV's delivered as well (65G1 for me, got it installed as well) so happy to share feedback/field any questions from our experience.
How is G1 compared to sony A80J if you have compared them and if you could share some details of your purchase which could help us negotiate better with dealers in our city.

Picked up the A80J at 2.2L (incl 15,000 CB, no freebies, mandatory 6-month CC EMI plan) today. Negotiations at multiple places had bottomed out at this price for two days, and no place was able to do better. So decided to take the plunge after sleeping over it. Would like to thank all the FMs...

FMs here are yet to find a price below 2.2L for A80J, which is what I settled for on Tuesday.
(From what I overheard from showroom people, the Sony dealers are unwilling to go beyond 2.3L-15K cashback [which is between bank and sub-dealer], which leaves sub-dealers like VS, RD, etc, with a margin of 5K on a sale.
I think someone tough-as-nails and good at staring down in stand-offs can negotiate the following prices as of Diwali day:
LG C1 65": 1.85L
LG G1 65": 1.95L-1.85L
Sony A80J 65": 2:15L-2:10L
LG C1 77": 3.85L-3.75L
Sony A80J 77": 4.20L
Additional dope, from what I saw in the computer of a dealer, the Sony offer prices last up to Nov 16. So even if someone misses Diwali deadline, they can confidently negotiate till Nov 16, if they can wait.

Last I heard is 1.3 after all the cashbacks in Chennai. It might be even lesser in other metros.
