Hi,

Recently I had purchased LG 42LW5700 and Yamaha Rx V471. I am enjoying both. Yet I need to set up the network on the LG.

Before that I have two queries for all the experts and users..
1. Does the LG LW5700 has the ARC mode for any HDMI input, Can I configure any of the HDMI input to return the Audio ....? so that I will be able to use the same HDMI cable in the TV and AVR ....

2. As these latest devices have a little more flexible/strong power supplies built in, still is it advisable to add a surge suppressor to avoid any damages due to power fluctuations ....? any body has any good suggestion for the same ....? I don't think a dedicated stabilizer as such is required

Any help in these two queries will help a lot, thanks in advance ....

Usually one HDMI port will have ARC and it will be be marked 'ARC'. ARC won't work on other inputs.

Adding a surge protector is recommended. Belkin has a few surge protectors.

I don't think you need a dedicated stabilizer for LCDs. Instead of stabilizer, a line interactive UPS can be used.

I request you to remove or edit the question regarding torrents as it is illegal to discuss.
