Hi All,
Since the last couple of days I am facing an issue with this TV where a message stating "Only available in TV Input" keeps popping up, and if I choose any option, it pops up again. It has gone even worse now and the message keeps popping up repeatedly. I have even taken the battery out from all remotes, yet this keeps happening.

If I shut the TV down for half an hour or so and restart it, the message does not appear for 10-15 minutes, but after that it pops up again.

If anybody here faced this issue, could you please help me out.

Here is the message that keeps popping up:

How long are you facing this issue? Is the tv under warranty? Call the service guys..lg service is not that bad. Also as par your version it seems to be a thermal event. After few minutes of run something H/W is heated up or short circuit and is eventually triggering the malfunction.

Cant find out how to hard reset it. Tried to search on net but could not find it. It is out of warranty now. The same issue happened when it was in warranty. The LG service guys tried everything, changed motherboard, the control pad behind the tv etc, but it didnt solve the issue. The one day it stopped happening. This was around 4-5 months back.

Also, doesnt seem like a thermal issue, as sometimes the problem occurs as soon as I turn on the tv after a 12 hours as well. Its just very random!!

Does anyone have any idea on how to do a hard reset on this model?

For few hours try blocking the IR sensor on the TV for the remote. This will help identify if there is any external IR interference bothering it. If even after physically blocking the IR sensor this issue is coming up, then issue can be attributed to the set.

Also, if you have filed complaint to LG on the same issue during warranty period and it has cropped up again, you can always ask them to have a look at the issue and state it was never fully fixed in the earlier attempt.
