Looking for audio system for my LG PK550

I want to do away with my current 5.1 and looking towards some decent audio player which will complement my new plasma. Can somebody advice on Philips HTS5120/ 51 Sound Bar currently selling for about 21K at futurebazaar.

The contender is Samsung HW c450 which sells for about 17K. I am also open to any 2.1 system.

You can consider AE5 or any other good 2.0 setup. AE5 for instance beats many 2.1 setups within 10-20k.

philips soundbar are good however avoid lg and samsung in terms or speakers ..

go for any active speaker set.. ae5 is a good option..

however guide us with your budget and the spacing you have

u can also go for a 2.1

Do you want a home theater experience or just good quality sound/music?

If you want the former, then go for Philips/Onkyo HT. For latter go for AE5/Wharf 9.2/.1+Norge

Mate, Kindly also consider logitech Z5500 5.1. This set is THX certified and has a host of inputs including optical. The price is around 14K.

Though this is a PC speaker, many people are using it as a HT. If you search on the forum, you will find some good feedback on this set.

The system will be mainly used for music and sparingly as HT while watching TV movies.

Illusion, not looking at 5.1 as I hate wires.

Had a demo of Panasonic VK680 music system. It is truly a beast. Sonodyne is not available in Chandigarh nor is Phillips sound bar.
