Do you have 12 inch 45 rpm records (called maxi singles). I am in interested in Rod Stewart, Tina Turner, Bryan Adams, Phil Collins etc. Also need Van Morrison Lps on mercury label (except Sense of Wonder).

My comments about high price on ebay was for Hindi/ bollywood lps. English lps are indeed cheaper on ebay. Discogs is also a good place for cheaper records. Almost all major sellers have huge inventory and offer combined shipping.
Buying 10 to 12 lps in single purchase reduces the shipping cost dramatically. Some sellers also offer surface shipping which is slow but very economical (some times takes upto 6 months. 3 months is the average time). I used to pay only $35 for 7 Kg packet. Unfortunately, US post discontinued this service few years ago. Never lost a packet this way but i have lost couple of packets which were shipped through airmail (the most expensive lp i ever bought and shipped through regsitered airmail from Germany- Aerosmith Nine Lives 2 LP set bought for $70, never arrived here). Canadian sellers also offer surface shipping and i have plenty of Canadian pressings which sound better than US pressings (Bryan Adams, James Taylor, Rod Stewart etc).

Lps from Germany, Netherlands sound great. Infact, all European pressings are good. Some ultra rare Lps, pressed around 1990 to 1997 and pressed only in few countries like Netherland or Germany are expensive on Ebay/ Ebay's european sites/ Discogs/ Gemm/ MusicStack but can be bought at moderate price from Korean sellers. Korean pressings are as good as European pressings.

I don not have any 45 rpm Maxi singles for sale. Since I have a huge collection, i am now in the process of listing them and putting them up for sale , Majority of these records will be sold at Rs 250 per record plus transportation. They are all in very good condition, but if any one wants them cleaned,I will charge extra. I am selling them only because of space issue. i have two huge racks and now they are not enough for me.

LP records in Chennai. There is an exclusive LP seller in Moor Market. Most of the LPs he has a Tamil and Telugu. But I did see some Hindi and English ones. I have collected a good collection of LPs of M.S and other Carnatic classics . I managed a few ABBA and Boney .M from there too. Price? You will be surprised Rs 50 to Rs 200. On bulk purchase you can negotiate. Just one warning - some are new ones, several are shop soiled and you need do a careful cleaning. There were some cover and LP media mixed up , so always check that the cover and the content match. I have a 50+ collection of Carnatic and Devotionals collections purchased from this shop.
