Marantz PM7004

Hello I am a newbie here!.'l want ask, i bought the system (speakers Mission MX5 and amplifier Marantz PM7004), amplifier am connected to the old Philips LCD TV through RCA connection, all the sound passes through the TV RCA to Amplifier RCA (Satellite, PC, Xbox), the sound is very good.

I bought this system so that I'm interested in music and quality sound (Music 70, Movies 30). Everybody says that the amplifier better than the AV receiver?

During my birthday I want to get
Marantz NA7004 and new TV (there is no RCA on most LCD 3D TVs.

Others say sell Amplifier and buy Yamaha RX-V673, others say to purchase a separate DAC.


For music, what would be the best AV Receiver or Amplifer exsample:

Marantz PM7004 + MarantzNA7004
Marantz PM7004 + DAC
Yamaha RX-V673

Music listening via USB, PC, Internet Radio 80%, 20% CD.

when i get my new TV ,is very confused to connect my amp,because no RCA output.
And i don't know, which way s good .
DAC or Network Audio Player(both have good point and bad)

Latest TVs have optical output. Buy a optical to RCA converter or a DAC with optical input. Infact when you route audio through TV's RCA out, it deteriorates sound quality.

As your 80% of music listening preference are towards digital sources and that too combination of PC, internet radio, USB etc, I would recommend to go ahead with Marantz NA7004.

I owned a Marantz PM7004 for a brief period of time and parted way with it due to my small room size. Your choice of amplifier is good

Go ahead with the combination of Marantz PM7004 + MarantzNA7004, You will not regret.

i didn't know when i route audio through TV RCA out, it deteriorates sound quality, I'm thinking rca to rca good way because no experience.
