Hi, I joined hifivision recently but have been following it since long. Reason behind this thread is I need some urgent advice.
I am from Pune and owns a Denon 2112ci paired with Energy take classic 5.1. I got those from US in a deal and l love it. Couple of months back a front speaker started giving crackling sound and I get it checked from a technician. I have been suggested to get it replaced.
As a matter of luck I am on a 3 week official tour to Oxford, UK ending on 16th Dec and I am planning to buy a pair online/instore here. Ideally I should audition diff brand but available time is not permitting that for now. But if the forum can help me in shortlisting some models than I can try it out or I can even take chance to buy it online without auditions.
Now, if I have to replace the front speakers than I must also replace the center one too. I don't mind doing this but I am quite happy with my current ones. In this case can you recommend front speakers that can go with Energy center.
Other option is I replace my defective front with rear ones and buy a pair for rear channel.
I havn't thought about budget here as it was unplanned but I guess I can shell out between 150-250 Pounds. I mostly use it for listening music (classical and bollywood), movies and TV.
