Give me Sony or Samsung any day; but the love of the dear god not micromax as almost the same price. Micormax has to understand it is simply not in the same league as the big boys. At best it is 'T-series' of the mobiles if you know what I mean.

Micromax is not bad if you are compare to price range with other brands like LG, Samsung and sony but if you will compare with features, then other brand is better then micromax. It has not good picture quality, bad performance and durability is very poor.

Just out of curiosity, how can you comment on the durability of their 3D TV's and Smart TV's when it's been just few months since they entered the market?

Sadly, that's the perception of average Indian buyer whenever it comes to an indian brand

On the topic, has anybody demo'ed the TV yet? is it worth considering ?

I could also not find a person who actually bought the set, but it shows out of stock in flipkart and other sites

Is not it a little naive to await feedback when the range is out for only a few months?
I mean when you spend that much on a TV, it is supposed to last a good many years. Our Onida 21" lasted almost 20 years before finally giving up! Of course do not expect today's brand and their productions to last that long, but I suppose we can only comment on the range after a couple of years. When a few of these fail and then comes the question of after-sales. This bit is very important for all of us.

what would a TV like above really lack for an average viewer who isnt striving for accurate colors or blackest of blacks?

I have a Smart TV with 3D and I dont use either of these features, preferring to use my laptop for input to TV.

if a 30K 50 inch tv works for 2 years without any troubles..well worth the money...i paid big bucks for my samsung TV and after 3 years had to get rid of it
