I just inserted a 1.5TB Samsung HDD into the second tray of my NAS, and got a message saying that in 14 hours it would copy all the data from the existing 500 GIG drive, which I plan to remove and shove into my Popcorn Hour. Accordingly I disabled the auto shut off for tonight, will check tomorrow and then enable it to shut down at 11.15 PM

Task completed successfully by the time I woke up.

Now to take out the 500GB HDD and put it to use. At this time I have around 6TB of HD capacity, all split up-2 are 1.5TB units and the others are 500 or less. Need to figure out how to consolidate into fewer high capacity units, though the PH will only take a 500GB unit max. I have 2 X 500GB on my main computer, I dont plan to change those.

I got lucky when I was in the US recently, stayed with a young cousin in Seattle , who works in Microsoft getting me both Windows 7 and the just released Office 2010, at special MS employee rates. Their annual employee rate limit is $1500 worth of buying..
