Hello all, not certain what I'm missing. I have an Onkyo HT RC330 reciever tied into a Samsung LNT 4053H flat screen and a cisco RNG200n cable box and a Bose Acoustimass 6. My problem is the l & R front speakers and sub woofer work but not the center and rear speakers. I have checked all speaker connections on the Bose and Reciever. I also can't get to the menu for the Onkyo. Any suggestions? Thank you for any insight.

All the 5 channels will be fed to the speakers in the following cases

1. Input signal to the receiver is 5.1 (Dolby/DTS) and receiver is set to proper output mode (auto / Dolby Digital / DTS)
2. The receiver out put mode is set to 5 channel stereo/PLII music/PLII cinema or any other DSP mode that creates 5.1 channel surround mode. Here no matter what the signal type is, the receiver will create a virtual surround stage and deliver signals to all the 5.1 speakers.

You may want to check the following

1. If the input signal to the receiver is 5.1
2. If the input signal is not 5.1, see if the receiver is set to simulate surround sound by choosing the right DSP mode. You an go through the receiver manual to see how to setup virtual surround modes.

Thanks,
John.

Agree with spirovious, it should be in stereo mode.. Also you can go into speaker level calibration in your receiver and check whether all the channels are working. Nevertheless try changing the sound mode and check for differences.
