10K is quite good money if you can do something of your own. Otherwise your room is quite big for speakers made in that price range (in general).

If not then,
Buy a good computer grade 2.1 music player. Replace front small speakers with Philips or Bolton 8 inch full range drivers placed in planks. Make some arrangements to hold those two planks vertical (better with some leaning back angle). Those full ranger should be around 3 feet high. They should be placed 3 feet away from the front wall (wall in-front of the listener). It is better to place them 1 foot away from side walls as well.
Those planks need to be at least 10 inch wide to hold those drivers.
