Hi Friends,

I have a set of all Osho discourses in MP3 format, however the volume is very low in most of the files. I have also tried some free trial versions like MP3gain etc, however am not satisfied.

Can someone suggest a good software that I can purchase/download to increase the volume of MP3 files.

Appreciate your help

Thanks

There are lot of free audio editors available on the Net. Download one of them, open your low-volume files and increase the volume levels by using amplification options.

To start with, you can check this link.

PS: I've not used this software before.

Hi all,

Audacity by default may not open the .mp3 files, for which the lame.dll or oggvorbis encoder file may have to be downloaded and installed in the Audacity program folder.

Just my Rs.2/-

^^ That's mostly correct. Audacity will open and load mp3 files, but it will need the LAME encoder to re-save the mp3 files (in .mp3 format).

The LAME encoder can be downloaded from the "Other Audacity Downloads for Windows" link on the same webpage (that I linked to in my earlier post).

I use my Adobe Audition to import MP3 files and clean them / amplfy them if necessary......
