Music den of a Pancham da and Kishore Kumar fanatic

Am a music lover especially Bollywood oldies – R.D. Burman and Kishore Kumar. My journey to procure Vinyl and Audio CDs have started around 2000 and the basic level audio gears since then. My focus has always been to attain good quality source and allocate the rest of the limited budget to pre-owned audio stuff for a balanced good quality audio.

Journeyed a long way and met some very helpful friends from this forum and outside who enriched my audio knowledge. I was tangled into many experiments for better sound and finally reached a near to nirvana stage. A special thanks to Bhaskar, Prem, Sachin, Aniket, Om, Raghu, Nikhil, Joshua, Sanjoy Dhar, Koushik Roy, Shibasish, Saikat Biswas, Joy , Anuj, Prakritish to name a few. I have been a regular member to Kolkata Audiophile WhatApp group and this beautiful forum.


Sharing some recent pics of my music den but this is NOT the end to my audio journey. MMT acoustics sound proof materials have been used and the wallpaper work (done by wife and son) is to cover 'em up.

Excellent as I have already told . Those are not basic but really loveable stuff. To me an audiophile with turntables is some one who goes in to the depth of music. Another aspect is of course your collections of RDBurman feats which I always envy. Again no praise is enough for your wife and son who did their best to decorate such a nice room where your gems are housed. Please go ahead and keep on listening to music.

Ambience exactly matches the kind of music you enjoy. RD Burman was no doubt one of the greats. He created sounds out of nowhere and changed the music scene all by himself. But somewhere for me SD was greater (PS - not looking for any debate)

Stories for a reason are called as stories. The aradhna story is one such. Music is not just about music director only. Listen to this from someome who had first hand experience with both.

In this case, it’s like comparing the other Sachin-Rahul duo, 25 years later in a different field. Although I’d say they mapped with the former pair opposite to their namesakes. Classic Sachin and brilliant Rahul gave way to Classic Rahul and brilliant Sachin.
