Music Setup Recommendations

Gents - I have been handed the responsibility of setting up a dedicated Stereo Setup for my very close friend.

The listening space is quite spacious. Exact dimensions will be shared a bit later.

He is a huge music enthusiast as me and his typical music is predominantly EMD/Trance/House apart from the occasional classical and regional stuff and Radio. He likes his music loud and punchy and also with a lot of detail. Anything from MP3 to CDs and USB. No Computer Music and stuff.

I have a working budget of around 85k max.

Based on the above, please can you suggest an ideal match. Could be New or even the Pre-Owned route.

I was thinking of the following:

A CD Player or even a Blu Ray Player as a source?
Floor Standers
Integrated Amplifier
Dedicated AM/FM Tuner (I will pickup a pre-owned unit)

Open to Active Speakers ? 85K is a good budget... You can look @ Bluray Player + DAC/Preamp + Active speakers...

Active speakers is a superb suggestion considering requirements and budget

For 85k budget no good hifi separates will be available

Let him atleast have a listen to any of the actives just to check if the sound is to his liking or not

A good sub might be a good idea as it would provide the low end support to achieve "loud and punchy".
