Musical Fidelity M6i + Monitor audio GS20

Thank you Amit,

For your kind comments.

I am trying to organise the setup,

so many gears, lot of cables, my head is spinning.

But the music soothes all the stress.

The interconnect take some time for burning in and show their potency - say around 30-40 hours. Some manufacturers suggest more burning in time.
Now it's time to enjoy and try some tweaking like speaker placement, toe-in etc...

I do not want to again start a debate on the burning in of cables and other electronic products, but for the sake of putting forth the opposite view i must state the below.

The burning in will help only in case of electro mechanical components where there is a moving part. So to my thinking only speakers will improve after the first 50 hours or so and the rest is all myth. There are enough discussions supporting both diverging view points on the internet.

It is not really a myth . I was using a amplifier from Demo in my setup for couple of week till the my new Amp was transported from UK . When it arrived and swapped i could obviously hear the difference which is 20-30 % , the demo amp was lot better & open

:

I have purchased the same Belkin Gold surge protector online at 2350Rs. I had apprehension that actual street price may be lower.

Which power cable are you using? I use AudioArt power cable with Furutech connector. They are ruggedly built. Do you have any plan for dedicated line from the mains for your audio?

My vertex servo stabilizer has inbuilt filters which will filter the unwanted
noises.

As per the manufacturer.,

If your M1 dac already has async usb dac, then you don't need usb to spdif. Assuming the async dac of M1 dac is at par with other usb implementations.

Yes,
The DAC is asynchrounous one.
The DAc has both usb & spdif inputs.
Can some one explain which one is better?
Thanks.

A well implimented asynchrounous USB has a slight advantage over SPDIF. However there will not be any difference if your source also is good.

See below site

The Well-Tempered Computer

Since M1 DAC is a good one I would stay with USB.

BTW what is your souce to feed the DAC?

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
