Hello Friends,

Need your all expert advice and comments.

I have been looking to buy my first home theater for past 1 year. Had zeroed over Denon 1911 + Jamo 606. But a couple of days back read a few negative comments for Jamo 606. Specially for the tweeter of Jamo , so thought of giving it up for Jamo .

A couple days back I had checked Hifi mart which has giving Wharf 9.5 set with Marantz 116K / Denon 1912 for 122K.

Wharfedale 9.5 Floorstanding 5.1 Home Theatre Speaker Package + Denon AVR 1912 AV Receiver

Had auditioned Diamond 10.6 today , as I am not able to get 9.5 to audition any where. 10.6 was good but not sure how 9.5 will sound. There was significant difference between 10.6 and Wharf Obsidion (Which is exact replice for Jamo 606).

Now the wharf set of 9.5 exceeds by budget and so does 10.6 . But any idea what exaclty difference they both have. Or any option to audition the 9.5 with Marantz 5005.

Also please help if there is any significant difference between Denon 1912 and Marantz SR5005.

Please help..........looking forward for your views and also close my deal as this is been hanging over as my dream from last 2 years.

wharf 9.5 + marantz....................perfect combo!!! wharf 9 series are better than 10 series and pair better with marantz.

@Rajesh... I guess you've already decided your amp and now looking for perfect speaker combination. Correct me if I am wrong.
I am not really sure about Marantz 5005. Experts/Owners of Marantz will be able to guide you here. I've seen some very good reviews about Denon 1912. Here is the comparison between these two receivers.
If you want to go ahead with Denon, I'd like to suggest you to have a look at Polk Audio as well.
If your room is big enough, then only go for floor standers, otherwise stick to bookshelves. You can check Polk Audio TSi/RTi series.
As budget is concerned, you can start with 2.1 (2 front, 1 sub) setup initially and then you can gradually add components to it (like centre, rear etc).

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
