My new (old) sl1200 mk2

I found a great well maintained mk2 so decided to make the plunge. Following mods
1. Changed the cart to ortophone orange MM
2.tonearm damper
3. Connectors for rca built in
4. Re soldered ground
5. Led strobe

I am hearing good things about the sme 309 tonearm so more to come

I have both..clear audio is in the process of getting fixed..

Welcome to the SL1200 club, looks really good.
Many pre owned SL1200 available these days are in bad condition. I too got one in a really good condition a year back. I own a MK3DS in stock condition. Hesitant to make any mods.
