My new setup

The dual sub's I think is somewhere around 55 or 56K. Not quite sure though.. Need to check.
The only requirement of a sub is for that ultra low frequency on some of the tracks & for the rest of it the towers can produce a good amount of bass. For me the main concern is the room size of 10500Cft. To fill that kind of room with bass with great authority i feel a sub is required.

Another surprising fact in the same room is, when I move the towers to the same place where I have the TV and the Elac's, which is at the center of 35ft (The horizontal side) I don't feel the need for a sub.
So indeed the room and placement of speakers do play a major role, especially when it comes to low frequency is what i have understood.

How is it with you? Does your room also mess up the low frequency?
And by the way, How is FX Audio Tube 03? I was trying to get my hands on it too..
Yeah, the centre on the horizontal side of the room is where my second sweeter spot is! My current spot which is at the far side of the room does mess up the frequencies massively between 60 and 40hz.

the fx audio tube 03 boosts the lower mid upper bass frequencies at the expense of deeper bass frequencies which sound a bit muddy. The presentation becomes warmer overall and the sonic presentation becomes different, dare i say slightly holographic?

I am actually looking for a tube buffer to go between the WXC and Saptak. Looking at taking some help from Fm @manniraj sir and going the DIY route.
Since sourcing components is bit difficult now coz of C19, I was thinking of FXAudio as an interim solution but then it seems like no stock in Amazon as well.
I really liked the Bravo tube mini I had for couple of days and noticed it paired really with IndiqAudio amp. That’s where this itch of adding a tube to the chain started.

I got mine from amazon a month back. Theres the fx audio dp02 available on hifimart as well and i have that one too but i found the tube 03 better overall cuz the tube 03 has bass and treble controls which work quite well and allows you to tailor the sound, something thats lacking in the dp02 though it does have some presets. I found some timing issues with the bass in my dp02 which i need to dig deeper into. But i think the diy route is better as the fx audio units dont have and wont produce the satisfying tube sound you’re looking for.

The Saptak monoblocks sound much better especially with the focals, the differences translate mainly into much better soundstage, more relaxed presentation (somehow feel the Crown XLS rushes the music which actually gels well with the Dynaudio M20 which is slightly laidback), slightly better separation and imaging and the vocals also feel much more lushful with the Saptak.

I briefly had the Marantz PM8006 used as PA/IA , if I ignore the lack of power i felt the Marantz had better vocals over both of them, but was lacking comparitively in details and imaging.
If its an improvement over the revered PM8006, that saying something!!! I think i should give these a try. My hunt for a power amplifier has hit numerous roadblocks and i'm simply fed up of AV dealers not being able to deliver on their promise. If i remember correctly, @Prodigy had mentioned that Indiqaudio was offering a trial period during which they allow you to try it out at home. Would love to try these out if home trial is a possibility.

It might be more of a better synergy as well over the PM8006, but yes certainly worth a try. They do not offer a home trial, they do offer a no question asked 15 day return window but you need to pay in advance. They come with 2 CH and 4 CH configs by default and can customize to make a 3 CH as well.

They are very good when it comes to imaging and the overall SQ is great as well. My friend who lives across the street borrowed my Saptak and WXC for day and paired it with his newly purchased 3050I and he said there was a lot of difference in every aspect on how it sounded when compared to his DRA800 so I think its definitely worth your try.
Anyways you have that 15day no questions asked return period they offer. If you feel it does not match your expectations you can always return and get your money back. The max risk for you is just 2 way shipping, which is better than getting stuck with an unmatched / sub optimal product.

I remember talking to FM @devdutta and @Murlidher who were too looking at buying Saptak but I am not sure if they go ahead with the purchase .If they did then it would be great know how it pairs with their setup.

My bad, thats what i meant. I expected them to take full payment upfront, something similar to what HPZ was doing initially but which they’ve now stopped. I’ll be visiting my dealer soon and if he doesnt make good on the K2 (he’d also taken a sizeable deposit on it), Saptak it is.

Hi..

My Saptak 4 channel arrived today. Still early days. But definitely good improvement in stereo sound. My Emotiva towers being 4 ohms have much clear stereo separation and better sounding listening to 2 channel music now.

Oh ya! I remember you telling me about the Roksan. How much is it priced here? Its about 1500K Eur right ?

Oh ok, was unaware that HPZ provided a return window. Since the time I started exploring their site they just provide HPZ credits with some percentage cut as restocking fee.

actually, i believe they had demo units for which you had to pay full upfront and they would alllow you to audition it for a 3-4 days so it was not an outright purchase with a return window.

Don't. It's not going to be 10 times better than the Crown. :p :)
I don’t expect it to. :) The principle of diminishing returns is something i made my peace with a while ago... but are you saying you’ve heard it and its not worth the splurge?

I have received my platinum Saptak few days back. As i have bit illnesses i will post my experience later.
But i will say it is definitely better in every aspect.

Congratulations @devdutta. I wish you a speedy recovery. Waiting to hear how it fairs with your Fyne towers.

I just noticed you have both the Indiqaudio Saptak Monoblocks as well as the Crown. Would love to hear your observations on how the two compare! :)
This is the impression quoted by @fLUX and more or less covers the part played by both Crown and Saptak in his journey.
Very well written.

Stereo listening is fantastic. After a long time, I got the sound I was looking for. my Emotiva speakers sound great now.

Saptak - Good line up to have in your HT journey.

Kudos to Indiq and thanks @Prodigy for introducing this product to me.
