Have been thinking of posting my setup in Bangalore for a while, but here it goes. Its my humble setup in my temporary room. I am hopefully moving to a better house next month where I can do some proper placement of the stuff.

Source: iMac 27 with Audirvana and 12Gb RAM interfaced through Hiface M2Tech.
DAC: Its a VDAC 1st Gen
Pre: Acoustic Portrait PM 1
Power: Acoustic Portrait AM1
Speakers: B&W S3 603
Rack: From Soundfoundations Alpha Mk2
Cables: QED BNC to RCA for M2Tech to DAC, Kimber interconnects and Speaker cables
Gracing the screen: Pretty Olga Kurylenko

Great setup Deepak. I love your computer. I used an iMac as a transport for a long time, and I know they one of the easiest choice for a PC transport.

Btw, the weakest link in your chain is NOT your DAC, but the speakers. Get something better.

And if you will be living with this setup for longer than 6 months, consider getting yourself a Swan M200 MkIII. In your space and your seating position, they will give you much better sound. But if your chair as shown in the photo is not your actual listening position, this doesn't apply.

Oh, before I forget, I love that wallpaper man, so good!! :ohyeah:

@ranjeetrain Well I pull the chair back while listening and I dont play much loud as well. I note your point on the speakers. Hopefully in a couple of years time I can upgrade them.

@spirovious: No I got it from our forum member Ramesh when I was in a hurry to finish my setup. I brought the iMac from the UK though.

That's quite a setup for such small listening area. And it must be awesome. The rack looks neat, is it modular? Can one add more sections? And finally damages for rack?

Beautiful setup man... speakers look a bit close but otherwise very nice! I've heard a Mac with both Audirvana and Amarra they make for a wonderful source... very lush, open and good soundstage.

@ruenigma - I didnt intend it for this small area but unfortunately I have to put up with it for some more time when I could hopefully move to a wider room . i wana place the speakers much wider and farther. Yeah and he rack is modular and I can add more..costed about 15k

I can totally understand mate. I have similar tightly placed setup due to space constraints :).

Looks swell deepak!
Those B&Ws must be really shaking things up in the small listening area. I have heard those and it really sounds like a disco even when standing outside the listening room. Hope you get the liberty and real estate to place them properly in your permanent set up.
Lovely looking rack and pre amp there.

Imho, the biggest upgrade would be not keeping the desk in between the speakers.

Grats!

I dunno if it's a good idea having the back of a mac facing a window lol.

As Ranjeet pointed out, the weakest link is definitely the speakers.

But regardless, enjoy!
