OK, I can't see the chassis. Even if THAT is acceptable ( with some hammering ?) you could do something ! Very cheap chip amps can sound wonderful ! Look at the mess again and see if you can do something about it . Never know , you might get a brainwave !

Hi fantastic, thats what I am planning to do now. will put in a pair of LM3886 kit in the cab. Sheesh.....

No matter how much the TDA 7294 chip has been bashed about , I prefer it over the LM3886. I have both.
Both chips are available with relay protection for about $29 including shipping .
I bought a bare board for $4/= + shipping though it now appears to be available only as assembled board or kits ! Still very good value. Customs charges can vary from '0' on a good day to about 35% on a bad day !

Important to get a 'relay protected board'. Will protect your speakers in the even of any failure.
