Hi All,

i need some serious suggestion here. i have offered a NAD T760 av receiver at the price of 15k. I am interested in this. The set is in excellent conditions. The same was imported in 2001 from U.K. Please suggest me.

1. Is it ok the set with this price although it is almost 10 yrs. old.

2. which speakers I should use with this.

3.I want to use it mostly for music not for movies. is this system o.k for stereo purpose.

Thanks

It doesn't have hdmi, but if that doesn't bother you, it can be a very good avr. Go for an audition. It has 5.1 audio in, so you can use a blu-ray player like oppo to connect via analog out.
Not sure about the pricing though - whether it is expensive or cheap. Listen to it and decide.

You can attach PSB speakers to it.

NADs are class apart we all know it.

I bought a 5-7 years old NAD T752 US model with step down transformer ( with a optical cable and a external usb to optical soundcard) from a forum member at 12000/- :)

Your price is on a higher side and that too without step down transformer.

I would say at max 13000/- (with step down), Keep in mind that your is 10 years old model (just to make some sense while figuring out the deprecation)

Thnaks for your timely suggestaion.

I have listened to the NAd 760 It sound goods. However, I have also auditioned Maranz pm 5003 with jamo speakers yesterday. it was really better than the NAD and the cost the local dealers offered me 20k. so I am little confused spending 14 k on old amp. is advisable or not. or sould I go for new amp actually I want to have for music purpose only. I have also came to know that norge is also very good budget system. I have also mailed to them but they have no dealers in delhi . Has anybody in the forum help me to have auditioned in delhi the norge system.

Thank you

For only music use I would recommend a stereo amp and speakers. Well there seems to be offers going on in HFV for marantz pm 5004 at 17.5k. Add Quad / Wharfdale speakers I think some sort of offer is on too. This will be good VFM and you will be getting good new equipment with b&w.

As you have mentioned that you need to use this system for stereo then obviously the stereo amp and the speakers will be way better.

Thank for suggestion,

I think i should go for the new system. it is a better option.

need some suggesation. which one is better option.

NORGE 2060
Marantz PM5004
NAD 320 BEE OR 352

Hi Ben,

Like India, the U.K. has a 220 volts power supply. No step down transformer is needed here.

Regards.

Purchase the Audiolab 6000A Integrated Amplifier at a special offer price.
