I have NAD avr and NAD c375. A brief recollection of last time I tried but I CAN be completely wrong, I need to verify once more:

Anm - I'm a noob looking for an amp. I am looking at NAD C 316BEE or 326BB amp vs PM6004 or denon/maratz AVR's.

What is your opinion on the entry level NAD amps? Good to hold for long time?

Which speakers do you have / plan to buy? If it is for music, forget AVR and choose between NAD C316/C326 or Marantz PM6004... other options are Cambridge Audio 651A, Yamaha A-S500, Norge Pre/Power...

I have not heard most of these amps. I think I once, few years back, heard to a marantz 6xxx amp at a JBL showroom, and liked HK amps much better. Marantz sounded thin to me, with those speakers (can't recall, I think Jamo S series).

NAD is quite good, and I like it so I purchased when there was a good deal available. I have heard to NAD's less expensive amps and I liked them, paired with PSB speakers. Pairing with speakers is important.
