i am planning to get a Onkyo 3400 or Pioneer HTS-100 (071) , 5.1 speakers

is it necessary to connect the amp to stabilizer , onkyo dealer said it is . i dont seem to have coltage problems generally .

and at the same time i dont want to waste hard earned cash too !

If its abroad then probably no need.

But in India with power cuts (already started), voltage fluctuations, etc. its better one go for it.

Also, a stabilizer from the likes of V-Guard costs around 5K... it seems spending that much to protect your equipment is worth it.

Hi,

For last 2 years using Onkyo SR507, in Pune, never faced voltage problem, but last few days my Onkyo is tripping because of low voltage. I went through the forum I found suggestion for online UPS , which I see quite costly, please suggest how it is if I go for a voltage stabilizer, my objective is to safeguard the AVR and the SW.

Thanks

Aseem
