Hi there !!

Just got my hands on a Lenco75 TT so I want to go vintage on the rest of the sound system.

I have a good audio receiver but it's for movies and it has no phono input so I have to use a preamp, I think that I'm loosing allot of the quality.

Now, I need advice, I found a guy who has a couple of vintage amps, tell me what you think and why.

First one is a SCOTT HH 440A amp and a 570T Tuner , price is 225$ for both.

Second one is a PHASE LINEAR AMP MODEL 200 MK2 & PREAMP 2000 MK2 , asking 445$

The last one is a LINEAR PHASE AMP MODEL 300 MK2 PREAMP MODEL 2000 MK2 , asking again 445$

Now, I don't know much about vintage stuff so some help would be great !

For speakers, I have 2 choices

A pair of JBL P40

And a pair of JBL P50

You think I can get some good sound out of a system with these components ??

Thanks for your advice everyone !

Martin,
If the items are all in the same place, It might be a good idea to take your TT there with some records you like for an audition. Sometimes, the option that sounds the best to your ears is the best one (need not be the oldest or most expensive one).
I see in your introduction thread that you do have some newer setup. You could put a phono stage and see if the system sounds good to you as it is.
Without a phono stage, the sound is probably appearing shrill to you with your existing setup. If that works for you, you could save some good money.
