Need advise on Rear Speakers for Focal HT setup

My current HT setup is 3.1 and planning to expand it to 5.1.
Current Usage : 50% Music, 30% regular TV watching & 20% Movies & PS3 games

Last few weeks I was doing some research on timbre-matching of the speakers in HT system . Many of the home theater forums have 50% opinion favoring timbre matching doesn't matter for the rear/surround speakers.

Focal catalog recommends 806V as rear speaker, 806V is a regular bookshelf speaker with a price tag of 53K.

Logically 53K for rear speakers is not convincing. I even thought about focal 706 with same specification as 806V, that too cost 39K.

Can someone suggest me whether I should go ahead with focal recommendation of should go for an alternate? If it is OK to go ahead with Alternate recommend speakers matching above specification and in 30K range.

I find the wharfedale DFS is good and will match everybody taste and suit every system

Srini, I checked the specification of DFS,

NOMINAL IMPEDANCE 6 ohm
SENSITIVITY 86 dB

Does it match?

I have focal ceiling speakers from the 706v range installed in damped wooden boxes mounted on the wall. 8k a piece + 1k for the box. Works perfect! Match very well with my Dali front and center.

Does it match?

We should see whether it matched with AVR Receiver. My setup is Marantz 70002 / Floor standers : Jamo / Surround : Wharf DFS / Centre : Epos M8i Everything is perfect.

Your center channel is also focal ? It also plays an important role in HT for voice clarity.

Yes, Centre channel also focal as I mentioned in first thread. AVR is Denon 3312.

Found almost similar configuration in deftech with reasonably good price. If anyone use this model currently, kindly provide feedback
