Hi,

I am planning to set up a dedicated home theater room.
The room size is about 220 sq feet ( 20 ft long and 11 ft broad).
I will have projector in it too.

Please could you guide me which home theater set to take. I am facing a lot of confusion as i have seen high end brands like Paradigm and Focal and also have heard a mid-range home theater system of Pioneer.

Can someone please let me know what difference will i face in different brands and which model should i go for ?

1. Paradigm CT 200 ( Front and center ) and Paradigm CT 100 ( Rear Speakers ) and Paradigm Sub woofer
2. Focal Speakers
3. Pioneer RS 32

Also , which amp to go for ? ( Denon avr 1000 or Avr 3000 )
My budget would be from 40 K - 1.5 l on a higher side.
My concern is my room size also. It has concrete flooring.

Give more details what your budget includes. Does it include projector, seating, room treatment, etc , etc.
There are similar threads before also.

I'm using Focal Chorus 706 and 700cc with a Denon 2113 in a slightly bigger room. No complaints at all. Works even better with a Marantz 5007.

For sub, look at SVS. They cost quite a bit but are worth it I've heard. Other options would be Def Tech Pro something or the other.

Surrounds from Sonodyne/Polk Audio or similar.

Yikes! Budget getting shot to bits alert :)

I listened to Focal SIB & Co . Hows it as compared to definitive Pro 800 series and Paradigm ct 200.

Will it suffice for my room size ?
Also on the Amp side.. Denon AVR x2000 would be good or Harmon Kardon Amp would be good ? I heard that Denon does not give that much power as Harmon Kardon gives ?

For receivers stay away from HK, you want to look at Denon, Marantz, Onkyo and Yamaha. Depending on the speakers you can go with either of the names. Please listen to the system before you decide. DO keep in mind speakers sound different with every receiver. Every speaker and receiver has a unique sound signature from bright to warm. You should go for the sound that you prefer. It is also very important to match the right speakers with the right receiver.

I would like to go for a denon avr x2000 receiver and i am liking focal sib & co or Definitive speakers pro 800 . Will this be an ideal combination ?
I have heard denon and paradigm ct100 combination which seemed quite soft to me.
Please give me your suggestion
