need help for assembling a home theater system

hai members

i have a budget of rs 5000.decided to buy a local or branded amplifier having a power out of 100 watts.will be available for rs.5oo.but my need is to build a speaker system having power output more than 100watts in a wooden box.so pls guide on

1.is any branded amplifiers are available

2.did any branded speakers that i can use for my setup.

need help from members

dude.. m not sure about the prices of Ahuja's amps.. but i guess u can get one within 5K or may be more(Ahuja Sound Solutions) ... Go to your local elecronics market.. u can get lot of options there apart from Ahuja.. I had a pair of local build speakers with me which i bought at around 2K.. two big wooden boxes.. used them with local made cassette deck (bought at 1.5K).. sounded gud but lil bit harsh to ears.. so later i sold them off.. or you can get seperate components and can build a pair of speakers.. i have read couple of threads in this forum where guys made speakers.. can take an idea from there or can contact those guys to help you out with the build..

Bro it was 5-6 years back when i had these speakers... that time it was for 2K speakers only and it was local made speakers so dont know the brand.. 1.5K was for Cassette Deck that was too local made.. search your local electronic market n m sure u'll get sumthing.. if u wanna go for brand then ur budget is too low...
