Need help in selecting Speakers for Denon1612

Dear FMs,

Thanks to all those who helped me directly/indirectly in selecting the AVR. My choice is Denon1612 which I am going to purchase in next few days. now please help me in selecting the right speakers for it. I have zeroed on few speakers as follows:
1. Front: Magnat Monitor100 (8K/pair)
2. Centre: Wharfe WH2 (4.1K)
3. Sub: Polk PSW (15K)
4. Rear/Surround: Mission MHT (6.5K/pair)

The total is 33.6K. I had a budget of 25K for speakers but due to limited budget option in separates I had to increase it. So the above package is my budget option. If you have any thing less than above mentioned then please let me know. Also let me know whether I'm making a right choice or not. Or should I go for a 5.1 speakers set directly. I have seen Magnat 5001 package on amazon.de which should not cost me more than 18K including customs and shipping.But if it's separate then no fun in ordering it through amazon.de

I welcome your suggestions and i am sure I am in the right hands by joining this forum. So fellas, waiting for your inputs.
 
Going separates will give much better sound quality than 5.1 speaker systems. I have the magnat 5001 bought from amazon.de. It is a good HT but the sub is not powerful enough to fill my room (20x10). The satellites are very good in reproducing surround effects. The vocals are clearer too.

From where are you getting Magnat Monitor100 for 8K? If it is from India then I will suggest you to stay away from it because the quality won't match that of good Indian brands like Sonodyne available for around the same rate. To give you an idea, the magnat 5001 sells for 42K here which I imported form amazon.de for 19K and I can vouch that it is not worth 42K. I suggest Sonodyne book shelf as the fronts. It is available for around 10K.
 
Thanks for your reply. I am getting magnat monitor 100 for 8k from technoguru.in. Thats what they quoted on their website. Incase i have to get magnat5.1 speakers then I'll order it from amazon.de only but if you say its not that good then i'll do away with it. Where can I get sonodyne for 10k? I checked it on hifimart n it's quoted 12k.

Brother,

If you are interested for HT speaker set-up(excluding Sub) for 22k, Check for the below deal Shop for Jamo S 426 HCS, 3 Home Cinema Systems at Reliance Digital

You could add Sub later too as the FS in the package really would go low for your set-up.

I am not saying Magnat 5001 is bad, but it is not worth spending 42K. Sonodyne price in hifimart is the mrp. You should get some reductions. Contact hifimart.
 
If you are from Bangalore you may audition speakers in profx.
I would advice u to buy from amazon for good deal.

So I have an option of going for Sonodyne BS fronts with its centre. I hope sub of different brand wont be a problem

a.Wharfedale Moviestar 65+ Super 5.1 Home Theatre Speaker System(28k)
b.Boston Acoustics SoundWare XS 5.1 Home Theatre Speaker System (Black Finish)(24k)
c.Polk Audio RM705 5.1 speaker system (29k)

so what do you think which is the best out of these three that goes best with Denon1612?

have not personally heard them but the XS 5.1 would win hands down..........excellent reviews, and very highly rated in almost all reviews. But if possible, get a demo of all and then decide.
 
@Rupam, its listed at 33k in hifimart. From where you are getting it at 30k?plz do let me know.

Got Denon 1612 today. Tight on budget. Plz suggest front BS+centre in budget range now. For rear, I am planning to use my sony BS speakers (came along with SONY GNZ88D) or shall I wait little while and use my existing 5.1 sony speakers set till I am strong on budget. Now I only have 20k for speakers.
