Need help to get a decent Home theatre

Hi guys,

Currently i have a Yamaha home theatre speakers system with me but because of my room size i am selling it.

I need help from you guys to get a new home theatre within 20-25K budget. I may go for Sony, Panasonic etc but i need a decent sound quality. Also i am looking for HTIB sort of thing.

Agree with Onkyo Ht-s3300. good HTiB. with 3 or HDMI inputs 1 hdmi out, (HDMI 1.4 i think). u would be pretty futureproof. At around 25K inr a good deal.

Hey thanks for the reply. I took a Demo of this Onkyo system in a mall. May be there wasn't a dedicated room for demo, i could not find it satisfactory. Plus the price was around 26K. This system do not have player so on top of that i need to buy a DVD/Bluray player which will cost me more. So it's going out a bit of my budget. Moreover i do not think that in near future i'll have my own dedicated HT room. My Yamaha system is more than enuf for future also but because of the size of my room i could not have it more because i am not able to get the full performance of this system. I spent 54K on this Yamaha System and plannin to sell it now if i can get another decent system.

I may go for Onkyo (Onkyo was my first choice by the way) but that depends on that how much i get back from Yamaha system after selling it.

I am looking for a HTIB having everything in one system.

sorry about that. Onkyo 3300 is not really HTiB. its just an amp + speaker package.

Yeah, thats what i am saying. In case i go for Onkyo (which is definitely a good system) i'll have to buy a new DVD/BluRay player seperately and ofcourse i'll go for Bluray player now which will cost me around 10K(Sony). So my total expenses would be around 35K.

I am ready to spend 25-26K now but not more than that.

Guys, i just had a chat with a Onkyo Dealer. He told me that S3300 is not available now. Instead of that system, a new system is there S3400 which will cost me 25K. I guess it's not a bad deal. I may go for it but first i need to sell my Yamaha System

By the way this dealer is in Metropolitan Mall Gurgaon.

I can not post in classified section as of now. I tried but it says that you should be a month old joinee and you should have atleast 30 posts to this forum then only you can post for sale. I am desperately looking for a buyer.

Ya i know i cant get Bluray system in 25K. I guess as of now i'll have to get a DVD home Theatre system. Anyways i am not going to get bluray discs becoz of their costs right now but i am assuming that the picture quality will be good as compare to dvd player for normal dvd discs. I may be wrong.

What is your yamaha system>? Can you give details ?
A no of things esp speakers can be used in future systems IMHO.

Ric, i bought this system at 54K one month back. I have not decided the prices yet. I was planning to sell it at 48K earlier but i did not get any responses so i am not sure at what price i should sell it.
