Hi,

Congratulations on the new Setup.

Although I am not familiar with Pioneer setup, a couple of basic things to check would be;
1. Are the speakers running Large? Switch them to small to enable bass management in the receiver.
2. Is the Sub set to Yes or Present in the receiver?
3. Sub is connected to Sub out of the receiver? Yeh I have myself made this mistake.

Hi

Hope a proper subwoofer cable is being used....it needs to be shielded...an ordinary RCA cable is bound to generate a humming noise....(grounding issues).

Buy one from Amazon (Blue Rigger).

Thanks for all the guidance
1.I switched speakers to small in the settings
2.Sub was already preset in the receiver by the Mcacc sytem
3.wrong...then I connected the sub to the line out....still feeble sounds from the sub but hope this work around will solve the problem after getting a new cable.

You can use any RCA cable for now to make sure the Sub is working fine. When you run the auto setup, does the Sub make the sound?

I will run the auto setup one again tomorrow and revert.

When you run the Auto Setup, make sure the Sub is not in Auto Standby mode. They have a bad habit of going to sleep just when their turn to mark attendance comes. Another thing, see that the gain being set for the Sub is closer to 0 or the mid point and not at the extremes of the scale. If it is, adjust the Sub Volume and re run the setup. You should be able to accomplish on the first position.

Yes :)sub switch was set to AUDIO ON so that the subwoofer audio is always on. Upon this sub was detected on running the set up but only after connecting rca from the pre out of the receiver.. sound was mute while connected to line out.As advised by efernand1 found out this in ASW250 manual.
Connecting to Electronics Without a Subwoofer Output
If the receiver in your system does not have a subwoofer or LFE output you can connect the subwoofer to a preamp output.
Use a stereo RCA cable (not included) to connect the preamp outputs to the L and R Line Level inputs.

In my old receiver which had a subwoofer out I was using a Y splitter to connect the rca cable to sub and it worked fine.Still something is missing with new receiver, sub works not a as expected.Hope that a quality RCA cable like blue rigger would solve this.

Okay. That is weird. On checking your receiver model, you have two Sub Pre Outs. Which Sub Pre out are you using?

Also, when you say Pre Out from the receiver, do you mean the Sub Pre Out or the Front Speaker Pre Out, which I guess is Zone 2? What are you referring to as Line Out?

In the SUB the RCA cable should be going into the LFE RCA plug from the SUB Pre OUT on the receiver, you can use either Sub 1 or Sub 2 as they are giving the same signal.

Would it be possible to post some pics of your connections?

Did you contact the seller for any kind of installation support?
