@ hemant - its not nice to spoil a persons name by making such comments without having solid proof to back it up!

i don't have to confirm anything with anyone!

I speak from my first hand experience !

How come you can have other persons experience? I mean he sold defective stuff that too high at very high price so precisely what "first hand" experience you had?

Hi Kanwar,

Thank you for your reply.

Still i am in shock that how can somebody can give such a huge amount of money for these.

For some people it is pride to show gears with price tag. Most of all brand name. I personally use almost all DIY except sources. That too TT and tuner had gone through lot of upgrades. But I have seen whatever it sounds, it do not appeal to people as it is missing those looks and price tags.

Norge products are handmade. Norge power amps are good and I have seen it from inside personally. It does have good discrete circuit, design & layout, true toroidal transformer but needs some pampering in PS, add speaker protection and source selection area (if integrated amp). Its VFM though lack visual appearance, not bad all.

For Norge Pre, I can't comment as I have different taste. I like minimal /accurate signal path and stay away from signal modification like Bass-treble controls etc. If you want Bass-treble controls then its there in Norge preamp but naturally it modifies sound signature in its current implementation. So sound is no more equal to input as source given to it.

I have been using the Norge per-power since last six months and am satisfied with the product, I have mentioned somewhere that owning a pre-power opens up lots of possibilities to experiment, especially in preamp section, I have been experimenting with different Op amps, I have tried LM4562, in addition to the stock NE5532. They both have different sound signature.
though frankly speaking, 90% of the times I use Pass B1. As of now the combo is doing full justice to my TT.

Thank you very much for providing your own personal experience. Very nice.:)

Just came across your thread. Well I cant help you on finding the best amp for your woodstocks, as I am myself on the lookout for a budget stereo setup.

Reading your posts, I got interested in the woodstock speakers + amps.
Wanted to ask when did you buy your woodstock speakers and amp combo?
Are they available in Delhi ? If yes then where ?

And how much would a good decent budget stereo setup would a woodstock amp+speaker combo cost.

Also, as you have had the woodstock speakers with you and in one of your post you have mentioned that the bass is extremely defined and powerful, I wanted to know how are the mids and highs on the same ?

How do the vocals sound on the same setup ?

Your reply will be much appreciated.
