Hi,

I have recently upgraded my HT from the old Onkyo HT-S3400. Current setup has Yamaha RX-V585 AVR, BIC F12 SUB, Sony PS3, Tata Sky HD Set top box and SONY 40" FHD LED TV, all of them connected to a single power source socket through couple of GM/MX power strips.

I have experienced power getting tripped couple of times(tripped at MCB main board)when I switch on the main power source.
I don't have any power fluctuations at my place, though.

Is it OK if I continue with the same setup OR should I go for a stabilizer or single power surge protector(such as Belkin) ? I have a space constraint to place the voltage stabilizer.

Pl suggest.

Looks like the power socket is getting overloaded. Try using another power plug or split the power sources.

You could also pull a line directly from the main box for your setup with a suitable power socket.
