Hi, All above are good it's about ones hearing taste. So best is do have a demo of it, to suit your hearing taste. Also the price mentioned seems to be little bit costlier than market rates. So demo and short it out and have good bargain. Minimum 10 to 20% discount should be there. For my preference I will select Denon - Polk Combo from the above.

Prices shown above were very old.yeah as u said discount will be there.thanks for your opinion.

As mentioned above, Polk goes well with warm sounding receivers, hence Denon and Marantz are preferred. You could also look at Pre Used receivers in the For Sale section.

Whats your budget like for Receiver and Speakers?

Can i use this one without av reveiver?

No, it can't be used without AVR
But it would be a much better sound compared to the TL1600 package you are considering.

However if 50k is your hard limit, maybe check the performance of a Denon AVR plus either just 2.0 T50 speakers of even the TSX 330

Whatever you lose out on surround sound, you will gain on music playback quality with 2 floorstanders
(surround is effective only when you are watching content in 5.1. Most of regular TV etc is anyway stereo 2.0)

You can listen to both the 5.1 and 2.0 in Pro FX and decide

No, they wouldn't work without an AVR
Most of the speakers discussed on this forum are passive speakers. That means they need to supplied with high current input - which the amplifiers or AVRs supply

Active speakers have own in built amplifier inside, but they are a niche segment and I haven't seen any surround sound configuration with active speakers - only 2.0

Hi chlorophyll

If budgets are tight, Pre Owned stuff would be the answer, based on which location you are, check OLX/Quikr/HifiAds and For Sale by Owner Section...sometimes you get good deals on excellent products....

If you want new stuff, purchase the required model / brand of AVR first and a pair of speakers so you can use the same in stereo mode....as and when you have budget availability, get the sub, surrounds and center speaker...this is what some members have done......

if you are purchasing from ProFx...make sure you demand the 10-20% discount....

Go for a good AVR, and a pair of speakers to start with. Later you can easily upgrade as budget permits. That will always be more satisfying than compromising on speaker quality for surround now.
If you can extend a bit, pioneer andrew jones 5.1 speaker package will come within 50k, which is a good budget choice which can be paired with any powerful amp
However, please audition your choices before you take a call
