Basshead Amit
New Member
I have been using a DNM amp with a reverse bass and bookshelf speakers for the past 14 odd years. The bass is mind-blowing. Used it extensively while it lasted. Never had a balanced sound. But it was alright as I am indeed a Basshead. Amp is old now and so is the setup.
Planning to upgrade to a Home Theatre with the following mandate..
1. A good AVR with major focus on Music and not as much on Movies
2. Should have Bluetooth connectivity as it's easy nowadays with so many apps to connect to a desired song
3. Want proper front stereo speakers. If towers are recommended so be it. But obviously since am planning to go for a 5.1 setup the mid and satellite speakers should be competent
4. Need an awesome bass unit. Mostly a 10 or 12
incher
5. Always prefer a durable system to a fancy one. As much as Pioneer is recommended for its versatility. Will choose a more reliable system with a proper support and service. A Yamaha for instance
5. Can evaluate putting up to a Lakh if the system is worth it and can last for a decade and more
Have been going in circles. Did not wish to part with my bass heavy setup. But I have made up my mind.
Learned folks of the forum pls. Advise.
