What's the best receiver to start on 2.0 and work my way up to 5.1 or 5.2?

Regarding the price, it is something that you both need to arrive at a point where both are happy.

I need a receiver to power the speakers anyway, so I'm thinking of getting a used one as well. But I need your opinion on the price, that's why I'm asking you.

If you are getting the speakers for 30k and if they are in good condition then it is a good deal and way better than a sound bar. You may need to hear them if it sounds good for your tastes, that is if it is possible.
Pls consider packaging and logistics too if you are located far away.
