Netcast on LG BD Players

My new LG BD player (BD550) arrived today, and I am not able to set up Netcast on it (Youtube, Hulu etc.). My ethernet connection works, as I updated the firmware online, but I cannot see any menu options to use internet services, and am starting to fear that the asian version has no Netcast! Anyone who has been able to set up Netcast on LG BD players?

good question, i asked the same thing to one of the sales rep selling blue rays in an LG showroom, he apparently didn't know the answer, as I was in a hurry i had asked him to call me back...this was couple of days back & he hasnt yet called me

Did you got it working for netcast ? If you connect usb hard disk what are formats it supports ? Is there any limitationon size of hard disk partition ?

It playes all the formats of all size( I tried upto 14Gb File with DTS HD sound)
I tried m2ts, mkv, mp4, divx, dat etc.

Alok, did you get netcast to work? I am considering replacing the firmware with a US version, but am afraid of bricking the player. Anyone tried doing that?

I've not got mine yet. I borrowed one of my frinds for a day and tried some movies.
