Main HT - Yamaha dsp 3090 amp, a pair of Old electrovoice 3 way fronts, an AR center with Polk audio woofers and tweeter (I suspect they are the same as the AR's that I never even got ...) ESS Heil amt1b's mids, a pair of baby advent's with emit copy ribbon tweeters for the rear and an RCA linaeum fitted center as the rear center. I am working on upgrading out of this, cos its got no hdmi, and I also need a new projector, my projector is a dell 2400mp, needless to say, it also dont have hdmi. I put this thing together before hdmi was out. Most of this was svacenged out of goodwills and thrifts and craigslist.
My hdmi receiver is a onkyo tx sr 805, needing a firmware update. If it works after that firmware update, I'll start using it. I also am working on a HK avr7000 and a pioneer vsx49tx. I am not sure I'd use them as a real HT setup though.
2 channel - I like vintage here, I am running a marantz sr9000g, a heathkit AR1515, yamaha CR1000, or a few others cycling through when the mood strikes me. I got a whole slew of em ... onkyo tx3000, yamaha r2000, r700, pioneer sx 880, 980, 1250, lots of random silver amps, again nearly all out of goodwill or craigslist, or traded with people or what not. Many of these I brought back from the dead as well. I got tube amps also but not any that I'd run cos they either have a channel that is weaker or make more heat than sound or whatever. I have a few chip amp projects I have been meaning to get to also.
I also got a bunch of speakers. Vintage and new, and covering nearly all categories, soft domes, planar ribbons, amt's, neo's, horns, electrostats, ceramics, beryllium and full range. Probably some more I have left out.
Anyway I have been on audiokarma, diyaudio and avsforums a while, just that I found this one just now with lots of Indians.
Motorcycles: I have owned 43 of them so far and own about 12 currently. My long running favorite is a suzuki gs500 1989-2000. Only 2 bikes I own right now run. The rest are projects, or parts donors waiting for the day they will be turned into scrap.
Cool.
Srinath.
