Anyone did any comparison of the CD vs Vinyl version?

Since the source is still Digital, the Digital to Analogue pressing of a Vinyl has me worried. I am stuck in Pune and not able to compare Lagaan or Vande Matram which was delivered by Flipkart and Indiaplaza.

Picked up 1942 A Love Story for the song Kuch Na Kaho, perhaps the only Udit Narayan song I ever liked. Now to sit down and give it a good listening this evening.

An LP seller told me that people are hoarding this particular title due to the fact that it was RD Burman's last movie.
