Dual mono amps have been around for a while, so is this the new trend?
Naturally costs will also be higher - dual chassis, power supply's etc etc.
Cheers,
Sid

Why not? Especially at that ultra high-end we have paying customers who would be enticed.

It makes sense for amplifiers to have monobloc architecture, but I'm not sure about source. My streamer has dual DAC chips for each channel but the rest is shared. I think that is more than enough. Having said that may be there is difference in sound quality with these Mono DACs.

It'll be 4 Transformers now..
Because the Manfacturers had already dedicated 2 separate transformers, one for Analog and one for Digital Section. With Dual Mono and all working in Class A type of preamplification it will be quite expensive with Heavy chassis.

In spite of all this, the Power Cables, Analog Output Cable and Digital Cables have an impact on final Tonality and SQ. Where's all heading? I'm not sure. Until an Audiophile Neuralink is developed, we'll have to keep spending 😎

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
