Newbie wondering how to send a PM !?

Hello friends,

Firstly - I use a Marantz SR4600 hooked up to Wharfedale Diamond 9.1 fronts and a WH-2 centre speaker, for the past few years ! Now I need to plug in the missing Subwoofer and thats why I had turned to this forum and found some sellers in the Classifieds section, but I cant figure out any way to contact them !

Anyone suggestions, how do I send a PM to the sellers ? I looked up the sellers profile page also, but didnt find that elusive button to send a PM or Email. And posting any replies on the For Sale by Owners forum is not allowed !

After you get several GOOD posts you will be able to PM people

Welcome to HFV You can just comment on the threads and ask the seller to PM you as you can't PM them.

Well I just came to know the '31 rule' applies - only after 31 days of joining and 31 posts later, the PM function becomes enabled !
Rather disappointing, as that means a seller just lost a potential buyer...

The rule probably applies - because the forum expects (active) participation by sharing knowledge among other FM's. You have joined in May 2014. You can count on 30 more posts and then PM the buyer.
Afterall our HIFI is for the members to share knowledge/gain knowledge and know-how and other parameters. Welcome here and do share/gain your knowledge for the benefit of other FM's.

I think the 31 posts is for starting a new sale thread only. For pm you need only 10 posts.

Does this 10 posts rule for a PM still apply? I am unable to send PM to one of the sellers in the classified thread.
