Noob from the City of Djinns

Love the blue smoke of a two stroker man. What will you be upgrading to? I own and ride a Yamaha Rd350 since last 10 years.
.

I am planning to buy Harley Sportster 883Low. :indifferent14:
Its a big decision. Will take some time.

I still love the RD 350 sound. It is music man.

A 350 lover. That's nice! If it weren't for the scarcity of spares I'd go in for one.
Just love smoking all other vehicles when the red light turns green.
By the way there were rumours a while back that Yamaha would sell RD spares. Guess those were just rumours...

wow man - that is one nice intro - we share some passions - bullets, clicks and food! I ride a 1972 STD 350, and a 96 STD 350, and have covered almost all of India on my bulls.

by the way, I am a nikonian too - D90 FTW!

:yahoo:Noob meets Noob :clapping:

Good to see more and more auto enthusiasts here:clapping:.

Hmm. Didn't know the Man from the City of Djinns would unearth so many RD owners inthe forum. Pleasantly surprised:ohyeah: Owned an RD from my Army days from 1992 right till the end of 2009.

Held onto it even after marriage in 1997 coz my better half was equally passionate about biking. Can't forget those long distance rides at Chennai, Delhi & Hyderabad :D

Couldn't allocate it enough time & effort for maintaining it after kids started growing up.

RD350 - the bikers bike, so many fond memories attached to this bike....:licklips:

It is the Yamaha RD350 indeed that is being discussed.

17 years is indeed a long term ownership. I can understand how much you must be missing the 350. The one that I have currently is my second RD. Had the first one between 1999 and 2003 (was in college). Had to sell it off because I escaped two close accidents and my mum felt that bike was too dangerous. I sold it to a close friend from whom I used to borrow every weekend;). I missed the bike too much. Every time I heard the sound of RD pipes, I used to regret having sold mine. So, once I started earning, I bought my second RD in 2006:yahoo:. Don't do too much of riding these days, just a 20km ride and back every fortnight. Prices of RDs and original spares have skyrocketed. I have been offered double the price of what I bought mine for, but will never sell it. I have stocked up a lot of spares too but one can never stock enough.

Sweet dreams are made of these:). I used to have a poster of a rider on a RD350 with those words. I was also gifted an original red Rajdoot RD350 poster(that Escorts used in their showrooms) by my friend to whom I sold my first RD to - still have it.

Baron, in the same vein, I share the passion for Bulls, clicks and I am a Nikonian from Kerala. I use a D200! Like we used to say when we were kids, Same pinch, NO back pinch!
