I need a new mini/full home theatre with the foll requirements :

1. Should have 5.1 sound system. (2.1 is also ok but 5.1 preferred)
2. Should have composite video input (yellow) and component video outputs. (very important)
3. Should play files from usb drive.

Budget around 5k.

My main requirement is i should be able to feed in video through the video in port on the home theatre and be able to feed out video out from the home theatre to my television(my tv only has component(red, blue, green) inputs for video.

Most budget home theater boxes have only audio inputs. There are a few models from Edifer and F&D in that budget. Why do you want to route video through the HT? I don't think there will be any HT with composite video in and component video out. Please mention more about your TV model, device like DVD or STB.

Thank you for your reply.

My tv only has component inputs and my stb has only composite video out.

So i want the home theatre to take audio and video in from the stb and pass the video to the tv and the audio to the HT's speakers.

Is this possible ??

I can buy a new HD set top box with component output but instead of paying 5k for that (the channels i watch are not available in HD so no point of buying an HD stb), its better i spend that amount on a new home theatre system and enjoy quality sound also.

sounds strange.
tv has red green blue combo...
but not having yellow, red and white combo!!!!!
re check.every tv have a yellow,red,white..
on the contarary may not have red,blue,green..thats ok.

so how are you hookiing up your stb with tv:confused:
